Shakib, Mustafiz arrive home safely from India
Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, the two Bangladeshi cricketers who were playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), arrived in Dhaka, confirmed media in Bangladesh.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took initiative to send them to Dhaka on a chartered flight.
With India witnessing the second wave of Covid-19, a host of countries--including Bangladesh--have banned flight operations.
The BCCI was in regular conversation with the High Commission and the authorities to ensure that the players reached home safe and without any hassle.
The IPL was postponed a couple of days after multiple players tested positive for Covid-19.
It was learnt that both Shakib and Mustafizur will have to go through a 14-day institutional quarantine after reaching Dhaka.
