Holiday of Shab-e-Barat now on March 30
The government has rescheduled the holiday of Shab-e-Barat on March 30 instead of March 29.
Abul Kashem, additional secretary of Public Administration Ministry, revealed this information on Tuesday.
He said, “The holiday of Shab-e-Barat is basically dependent on moon sighting. The holiday will be on March 30 as the Shab-e-Barat is on March 29. Earlier, the holiday was scheduled for March 29. Now the file is under process for rescheduling of the holiday. It will be published as gazette after getting approval.”
Muslim devotees spend the night of Shab-e-Barat, at mosques and homes offering prayers, reciting from the holy Quran and seeking blessings of Allah for long life, peace, progress and happiness for themselves, their families, relatives and friends.
Muslims believe that on this night Almighty Allah decides the fate of all human beings fixing their “rizq” (livelihood) for the next year.
