‘Covid-19 vaccine can be taken during Ramadan fast’
Muslims can receive Covid-19 vaccine during Ramadan fast, Islamic Foundation has said.
As the vaccine does not enter the stomach directly, if anyone gets vaccinated in the daytime, it will not break the fast, according to a press release of Religious Affairs Ministry issued on Monday.
The ministry issued the press release, a day after a views-exchange meeting at the Islamic Foundation on Sunday.
Director General of Islamic Foundation Dr Mohammad Mushfiqur Rahman presided over the meeting while officials concerned were present during the meeting.
Religious Affairs Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam was present as the chief guest at the meeting.
