Khaleda’s family waiting for green signal
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is now receiving treatment at coronary care unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
She is taking oxygen support. Under this situation, discussions are going on to take her abroad for better treatment.
The family of the BNP chairperson is interested to take her (Khaleda Zia) abroad for better treatment. On Monday night, Khaleda Zia's brother Shamim Iskander and BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made a phone call to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal seeking permission to take her (Khaleda) abroad.
They also informed the Home Minister about the health condition of Khaleda Zia.
According to media report, Mirza Fakhrul Islam visited the BNP chairperson at the hospital on Tuesday afternoon and spent about an hour there.
It is learnt that the family will submit an application as soon as they receive a green signal in this regard.
