Tangia Zaman won’t participate in Miss Universe 2020

Tangia Zaman Methila, a professional actor and model, was crowned the winner of Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020.

She triumphed over nine other finalists and won the title in a national final held at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in Dhaka on April 3.

She succeeded Shirin Akter Shela and was set to represent Bangladesh at the 69th Miss Universe pageant in the USA this May.

However, according to an official statement by Miss Universe Bangladesh, she will not be going to USA.

The organisers announced: “Due to lockdown and travel restrictions we could not finalize the preparations. So we will not be able to participate in Miss Universe 2020.”

“We already informed Miss Universe USA management accordingly earlier this week,” they added.
