Mother, two daughters found dead in Bandarban

A woman and her two daughters were found dead at their residence in Lama upazila of Bandarban last night.      

The deceased were identified as Majeda Begum (40), her daughters Rafi (13) and one-year-old Nuri, reports our Bandarban correspondent.

Talking to reporters, Md Rezwanul Islam, assistant superintendent of Police (Lama Circle), said after getting information from locals, they recovered their bodies from the house in Champatoli area around 8:00pm.

Not seeing any activity in the house all day, relatives and neighbours looked through the window yesterday afternoon and found the bodies, he said.

Majeda and her daughter Rafi were hanged to death while another Nuri was found dead with head injuries," said the ASP.

"Primarily we suspect they were murdered. Crime scene team of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) from Coxs' Bazar will collect samples," added the ASP.

Majeda was wife of Nur Mohammad, a Kuwait expatriate, added ASP Rezwanul Islam.
