3 killed in Brahmanbaria road crash
Three people were killed and three others were injured when a private car hit a truck parked on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Brahmanbaria's Bijoynagar upazila on Thursday morning.
Mehedi Hasan, a sub-inspector of Islampur police outpost under Bijoynagar Police Station, said six people, including the driver, were travelling in the Sylhet-bound private car.
The private car hit the truck parked in the Amtali area around 6:45am, leaving the driver and one of its passengers dead on the spot, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent quoting the SI.
Locals immediately rescued the injured and sent them to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex of adjoining Habiganj district but a woman--also a passenger of the private car--died on way to the hospital.
Among the deceased, only the driver was identified. Billal Hossain was a resident of Bara Alampur village under Debidwar upazila in Cumilla district.
