Ruling Awami League has called an emergency meeting on Tuesday (July 30) to discuss about overall situation of the country.

Ruling Awami League has called an emergency meeting on Tuesday (July 30) to discuss about overall situation of the country.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at the party central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital at 1100am, said says a press release.

All members of Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) in the Dhaka North and South, Presidents and General Secretaries of all the Thana unit Awami League of the Dhaka North and South, the Mayors and all the Councilors of the Dhaka North and South City Corporations, all Awami League MPs elected from Dhaka city, Presidents and General Secretaries of the Awami League Associate Organizations, and presidents and general secretaries of Dhaka Metropolitan North and South units of the AL Associate Organizations will attend the meeting.

Obaidul Quader, party’s general secretary and also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, urged all concerned to attend the meeting on time.

The Awami League has taken a cleanliness program to increase public awareness throughout Bangladesh to prevent dengue. To counter this situation, a three-day program ‘Keep clean environment, clean society, dengue-free Bangladesh,’ will be observed by the Awami League across the country.

Awami League leaders have been instructed to take part in the campaign at the unions, upazilas and districts and upazilas including Dhaka from 11am to 12noon on July 31, August 1 and 2.
