Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Nazrul Sangeet exponent and researcher Khalid Hossain.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Nazrul Sangeet exponent and researcher Khalid Hossain.

In a condolence message, the prime minister recalled the contributions of Khalid Hossain to the field of music, especially Nazrul Sangeet.

“His death is an irreparable loss to the field,” she added.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Khalid Hossain, the Ekushey Padak-winning singer, died at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) here last night.

It is mentionable that the prime minister gave financial assistance for the treatment of Khalid Hossain.
