The government has directed all the educational institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) to form five-member committees to prevent incidents of sexual harassment.

DSHE director (college and admin) Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury said they have sent the notice to all the government and non-government educational institutions along with the 2009 High Court directive in this regard.

According to the notice, all the educational institutions will have to form the five-member committees and publish those on their websites.

The order came as the incidents of sexual harassment of female students have marked an alarming rise across the country.
