At least 30 people, including two journalists were hurt as two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) locked into a clash on Jagannath University (JnU) campus in Dhaka on Monday.

At least 30 people, including two journalists were hurt as two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) locked into a clash on Jagannath University (JnU) campus in Dhaka on Monday.

The clash involving around 300 supporters of both the factions ensued around noon.

Sparking around 12:00 noon, the clash was continuing when this report was filed at 3:43pm, reports our correspondent present at the spot.

On February 3, BCL suspended its JnU unit following a clash on the campus.

“The committee has been suspended as the leadership of the prevailing committee has failed to keep peace at campus,” Golam Rabbani, general secretary of BCL central committee,  said later in the same day.
