Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced to give members of the ICC under-19 World Cup Champions Bangladesh team Tk 1 lakh per month for next two years.

BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon made the announcement at official press conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Wednesday night.

He said, “A new unit Under-21 will be formed with the members of Under-19 team. They will be provided advance training for two years. They will be paid Tk 1 lakh per month each for the two month.”

“Besides, they will play series in home and abroad during the period,” he added.

Earlier ICC under-19 World Cup Champions Bangladesh cricket team members were given a heroic welcome when they returned home in the afternoon.

State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan welcomed team at the airport.

After a warm reception at the airport, Bangladesh U-19 team was taken to Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium by a special bus.

Bangladesh beat India in the final of the U-19 World Cup in South Africa on Sunday to bring the first ever World Cup for the cricket-frenzied nation.
