JSC, JDC examinations begin

Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations-2019 has begun across the country on Saturday.

A total of 26,61,682 students from 29,262 educational institutions are participating in the examinations. Of them, 22,60,716 are JSC examinees while 4,00,966 examinees will participate in the JDC examination.

Besides, a total of 454 students from nine overseas centres in Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina, Tripoli, Doha, Saham in Oman, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are appearing in the JSC examinations.

Last week, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said all coaching centres would remain closed from October 25 to November 15 during the entire length of the examinations.

She said results of JSC and JDC examinations will be published under Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) 4 scale from next year.

This year, question papers for all subjects except English at JSC and JDC level will be prepared in creative question pattern.

The JSC and JDC examinations will end on November 11.
